| Description: | Kennedy Hailed In South America - President Kennedy begins his venture into personal diplomacy in South America in Puerto Rico, where he is greeted by huge throngs before leaving for Caracas, Venezuela, his first stop in South America. The President's trip was planned to further the Alliance for Progress, a plan for the economic betterment of Latin American Nations. Crowds waving from above airport terminal? Banner below them : 'Welcome Mr. President'. President Kennedy and Mrs. Kennedy exit plane. Greeted by the Governor. CU Kennedy as he shakes hands with people. View is right behind people. Jackie greets those next. People gathered in street, behind iron gate. Exterior of building, with flags. President Kennedy and Jackie stand on balcony. Two flag poles, one with American flag. Building at night. The Kennedy’s greet those arriving at dinner with the help of the Governor. CU airplane engines. People waiting on tarmac. The Kennedy’s exit plane.
