Others walk. The King and Queen, sitting on a balcony view the march past of soldiers and tribesmen. C/U's as General explains the parade to the Queen. The General, in a plumed hat, pins medals on soldiers. The troops give three cheers. Tribal chiefs in robes are made to bow down in front of the King and Queen. They kiss the ground and are pushed roughly away by other tribesmen. Some wear white robes others wear rough simple hooded clothes. There are drummers. "Chiefs of the defeated tribes prostrate themselves in the dust as a token of submission." The tribesmen, dressed in traditional clothes, kiss the ground in front of the king. They do not seem very happy about it, as most of them are assisted into a kneeling position. | |
