| Description: | KISS-OF-LIFE INVENTION - POLICEMAN INVENTS EASIER METHOD OF RESUSCITATION Resuscitation aid invented by Sussex policeman demonstrated on beach at Worthing. A device which helps rescue workers get drowning victims breathing. Commentator says all Sussex patrol vehicles have been equipped with the new invention. Worthing, West Sussex. On Worthing beach, we see various shots of unconscious woman Miranda Overington being pulled onto the shingle by policewoman Jane Morse and an unidentified man. A woman (in skirt and sweater which aren't wet; so she doesn't exactly look like she's just been in the sea) is being laid down on the beach by two people. CU woman's head lying on rocks in unconscious state. Jane places a new invention to assist in resuscitation over Miranda's mouth and unfolds it. Hands unfold plastic sheet over the victim's face in center is piece of harder plastic with two holes (like electric socket) - the mouthpiece has a one-way valve. Jane starts giving Miranda the kiss of life. CU Woman police officer, taking off hat, bending over victim. DS Policewoman administering mouth-to-mouth resuscitation through the mouthpiece. C/U of Inventor PC Dan Barker looking on. C/U of Superintendent Edser watching. Miranda is revived and sits up. PC Barker hands the resusciade to Superintendent Edser.
