Description:KITCHEN HATS If you like hats and being in the kitchen - this one's for you.

South Molton Street, London.

Madge Chard has a whacky range of hats inspired by her kitchen. Designer Madge Chard is seen in her typical 1950's kitchen, including lovely gaudy print curtains, a sink area with white tiles and plenty of pipes showing. She is wearing a brightly coloured print shirt and is drying up a colander and looking at it. She takes it into her living area and places it upside down on a wine bottle. She starts to sketch it. C/U shot of her dog, sitting next to her. M/S of a model looking into a mirror and trying a spotted colander hat. She is debutante, Deirdre Newton-Woof. She uses a hand mirror to view the back version of the hat. M/S steaming kettle on hot plate, pan to shot of a model , Madeleine Hobbs, wearing a bright yellow kettle shaped hat - don't get steamed up - it's made of papier mache. Back to Madge, sitting on her sofa looking at a plunger, with a pan across to see another model, Christine Harris, wearing a white feathered plunger shaped hat, decorated with sequins. C/U shot of four chocolate whirls on a glass serving stand, with a pan across to Deirdre wearing a similar shaped hat in grey silky material. Next Christine is seen wearing a salad bowl style hat, complete with wooden salad servers attached to the front. It looks like an upside down lampshade . Madeleine wears a red funnel hat, looking glamorous, despite the hat which looks like something out of the Wizard of Oz . There is a pan across a hat stand of Madge's creations, including a metal jelly mould. We see Madeleine wearing a blue jelly mould hat design with white feather topping. She looks at the mould as if puzzled and there is a C/U of her hand on it. C/U shot of the hat and its white downy feathers. M/S of Madge's dachshund dog, wearing a tiny sequinned chef's hat. Deirdre's hands are seen peeling potatoes, pan up to see that she is wearing a white fur stole, large bead jewellery and a tight red hat with a lovely grey saucepan perched on top. She leaves her peeling, tosses her stole over her shoulder and waltzes off, with her kitchen creation on her head.
