| Description: | Korea Heroes: 27 Destroyer Crew Members Decorated. For gallantry in action when their destroyer, U.S.S. Walke, was damaged during action off Wonsan, Korea, 27 members of destroyer crew are decorated during homecoming ceremony. VS the ceremony with medals being pinned on, camera getting shots of the heroes posing, etc. Back in Korea, meanwhile, blood donations from civilians and military men, including crew of carrier 'Boxer,' go far to save lives of Yanks wounded in combat. Aerial shots of the ship with people standing on deck in formation of the number "2377." VS men giving blood. VS men unloading donated blood from helicopter out in the field in Korea. A few rather dark shots inside medical tent (MASH?), including what seems to be a pint of blood (patient not in frame). TLS medical staff (doctors, probably), one wearing an undershirt, tend to a patient. | |
