Dr. Addison cuts first sod of New Housing Estate. M/S of dignitaries gathering around as Dr Addison is handed a spade. Addison is wearing very smart dress, including tie and top hat. Large number of men standing around as a Gentleman sticks the first shovel into the ground. He puts the spade into the ground and digs up the first sod. He pauses for a while holding the lump of soil on the spade and smiles, (presumably for the press) he then drops it to the ground. Good C/U of Dr Addison with his hat off, he looks at the camera and smiles and chats to a colleague to his right. We see another M/S of Addison digging up another sod, this time from behind. As he moves a round to dig some more photographers dash onto the screen and begin to frantically take photos of him. M/S of Addison walking and talking to other officials in the field of the new housing estate. We see other various M/S's of Addison digging and talking. The men leave the scene with their top coats and top hats afterwards they all stand around and chat. | |
