| Description: | Last Rites For Pius XII In the great basilica of St. Peter's, funeral rites for Pope Pius the Twelfth are conducted with all the solemn pomp and grandeur of the church. In somber magnificence, the remains of the pontiff go to their final resting place, in a crypt under the papal altar. Interior ornate huge church. Guards (some wear armor) walk alongside pallbearers and body (not in a coffin). Lots of clergy in different types of clothing. Some stand by a coffin and perform ritual involving shaking a small object. Coffin in ropes apparently being lowered. Many shots of mourners (mostly clergy and guards are seen). | |
