M/S of children gathered around a teacher who reads a story. Narrator makes an appeal for donations to the Sunshine Homes. There are some children who cannot attend as there are not enough funds to support more places. M/S of ""Little Anne"" using her hands to feel around for the right place to store her wash things. She moves towards a hand basin and turns on the tap. C/U of her brushing her hair before bed. ""Self reliance, self respect and the pride of a little girl in hair that is soft to the touch"" observes the narrator. c/U of Anne cleaning her teeth (brushing her teeth). Good shots of two children being cleaned in the bathtubs by nurses. ""Margaret Rose is ready for bed, she knows that this is night because for the air has grown colder and there is silence all around. Good shot of the little girl getting ready for bed, taking off her slippers and taking off her dressing gown. She kneels down beside the bed to say her prayers. | |
