Pan up woman shakes soap suds off her hands, wipes them on her apron. CU woman wipes back of her hand across her forehead, looks tired. MCU she sighs, bends over to wash tub again. CU her arms moving around in a mountain of suds. She adds more clothing to the tub. MS woman hanging up pantaloons on clothesline. MS lace petticoat, other undergarments hanging on line; pan rt. as the woman walks along checking to see if they are dry. CU "modern" 1930s woman with bobbed hair, dark lipstick, pencilled brows, & a langourous expression, slowly slips robe off her shoulders and stretches her arms. She pulls off her camisole, holds it up to camera. MCU her feet in fluffy slippers. She slips a half-slip down and steps out of it, she's wearing nylons. MS the young woman, wearing embroidered silk robe, daintily drops her lingerie into the sink in a luxurious modern bathroom which features a marble sink with cut glass knobs on which rest bottles & atomizers, tile walls, a mirrored medicine cabinet, electric lighting with fancy fixtures, etc. She picks up bottle of soap and shakes some in. CU woman's hand wringing out some tiny cloth item in to her marble sink. She picks up another garment and dunks it up and down; also in picture at left is a cigarette burning in her cigarette holder. MCU she sits on the edge of the marble sink holding her super-long elegant ciggarette holder in one hand while she half-heartedly dunks her camisole with the other. MCU the modern girl stands in her bathroom smoking while hanging up a brassiere, a tiny handkerchief, etc. on a little line rigged up in the bathroom. | |
