| Description: | LITTLE FROM "THE LITTLE REVUE" - LITTLE THEATRE LONDON "An Interrupted Ballet." Jack Hulbert and the chorus in a comedy dance routine. London Jack Hulbert climbs - or jumps - up onto the stage during a ballet, and performs his own version of ballet steps while the young ballet dancers stare at him. As he bows at the end of his dance, all the girls run off but one, who stays to dance. They both twirl around; he gets dizzy. Later he thinks she's going to catch him but she doesn't and he falls over backward. Then they get twisted up in another turn and try to climb through the circle made by their arms. (Meanwhile the other dancers have reappeared. ) Hulbert ends the routine with some energetic Russian style kicking. dance, theatrical dance, theatre, ballet, comedy, silly | |
