NOTE:This is NOT footage of the real Titanic, as Pathe used shots of the Titanic's sister ship, the Olympic & called it the Titanic. TLSs departure of the Olympic from New York, shot from a boat in NY harbor, crowd on pier & passengers on decks waving goodbye as ship is pulled away from pier. Sideview LS Olympic in harbor. Great TLS looking over people waving to ship from dock, ship passing with passengers lining deck. LS Lusitania (or possibly Mauretania) sailing in harbor, passing to right. Scenes after LUSITANIA was torpedoed by German submarine. MS 4-5 seamen stand on street looking shocked, two of them wearing Cunard caps. Location might be Liverpool. Shots looking over crowd in street outside office of shipping line; looking for news; waiting for lists of casualties (maybe hung in window).
