| Description: | A five alarm fire in a block of stores results in the worst single disaster in the history of the New York Fire Department. Twelve firemen are killed when a floor collapses in a burring drug store. The bodies are found only after a twelve-hour battle against the flames. The dead heroes leave twelve widows and 32 children.
