He died on March 28, 1950 in the crash of a military transport plane near Ramsayville, Ontario while enroute from his post as Ambassador to Canada to New York. He was returned to the United States and Buried in Arlington National Cemetery. The people of Canada pay tribute to Laurence A Steinhard who was 58 years old. | |
