Exterior massive crowd among buildings. Interior, people (mourners) file past Pope's body (in state), with some guards around, too. Several of the women wear head scarves. Clergymen standing in small group. What looks at first like a truck -- elaborate hearse with child-size cherubs decorating it -- passes under a gate. Policemen in front of crowd, woman behind them crosses herself. Guards (some of them seem to be wearing armor!) walking with the fancy hearse. Colisseum. Long procession of clergy (and maybe others) walk down road. Funeral procession winds through massive crowds. Crowds inside huge church/cathedral walking past Pope's body. Pope Pius XII. | |
