Angle shot: top of mine shaft, showing the big wheels and smoke going up into the sky. SV. Pit head. Showing idle trucks and smoke pouring about with firemen playing water. SV. Crowds of civilians outside fence waiting for news. SV. A bucket-lift comes up from the mine with men in it and they lift body out covered with a blanket. SV. Soldiers carrying stretchers towards pit. SV. The bucket, with another body being lifted out wrapped in a blanket. SV. Stretcher bearers walking by with body covered by blanket and being taken away. SV. Guards at the gates, while people look through railings anxiously. SV. Towards, rescue workers making their way towards pit with gas masks and steel helmets on. SV. Rescue workers going down steps towards pit. SV. Pan, stretcher being carried with body on it, covered by blanket after being brought up. SCU. & Past, stretcher bearers, this time with a man alive. His head can be seen. SCU. Going away. Different man on stretcher trying to sit-up, being carried towards ambulance. SV. Man being taken towards back of ambulance to be put in. SV.
