C/U of Stanley Wise of Sunbury on Thames working on one of the clocks. The commentator tells us that Mr Wise is a former Squadron Leader who flew on the famous bombing raid to Constantinople in 1917 as co-pilot to Sir John Alcock. It was as a prisoner-of-war in the same year that he took up the hobby of making miniature clocks and is the author of several books on the subject. C/U of a pendulum in his hands that he seems to be measuring with a pair of dividers. M/S of him bending over his work on the clock at a table; he is wearing an eye glass. C/Us of the piece of equipment he is working on with tweezers, Mr W looking down wearing the eye glass, a spring being added to the equipment. M/Ss and C/Us of him bending over the equipment and working on it, removing and replacing his eye glass. Extreme C/U of the miniature clock he is working on as he fits the pendulum to it with a screwdriver; his hands leave the shot and we see the clock working. C/U of him wearing the eye glass, then C/U of his hands working on another tiny clock - this is an electric clock. We see him connect the clock and start the pendulum swinging and it begins to work. Extreme C/U of this clock face, tilt down to show it working. M/S of Mr W at his table with various pieces of equipment spread out in front of him, in his hand is a miniature grandfather clock.
