| Description: | In the same Atlantic City Hall where the Democrats chose their Presidential candidates, there's another hot contest waged - the "Miss America" pageant. "Miss Arizona" (Vonda Kay Van Dyke) rounds the last few curves to take the title. There are floods of tears as usual. Tears of joy! You know how it is - a beauty queen never reigns, but it pours. In the Atlantic City Convention Center the Miss America Pageant is being held - 1964. The stage with lots of spot lights shining on it. The Beauty Queen audience. Some of the contestants wearing evening gowns walking on stage. Miss Arizona wearing an evening gown, and her hair is pulled up, long over the elbow gloves. Miss Arkansas wearing a very tailored evening gown. Miss Arizona wearing a very modest bathing suit. Miss West Virginia comes out donning a bathing suit and a big smile. The curtains on the stage opens and there they sit, a quintet of hopefuls and standing in back of them are young men in tuxedos. Grumpy looking older men sitting in the audience.
