| Description: | Fireproof paint tested. Greater London M/S of a blow lamp burning the paint off a piece of wood. After a hole has been made in the paint a man simply just paints over the the hole with special fire proof paint. Its inventor then demonstrates how effective the paint is by dipping a strip of nitrate film into the paint and then setting fire to one end which has no paint on it. The film burns rapidly but miraculously stops when it reaches the end covered in paint. L/S of a young man (or guinea pig) with his hand covered in paint. The inventor then holds the lit blow torch close to his hand but it fails to burn his skin. MS Mr. Leach, the inventor, drinking from a flask (supposedly the fire proof paint, according to the voiceover). | |
