Couturier Ronald Patterson stands at the front of the room by a desk, the first model, Liatt, walks round from the back up to the table, Ronald leans over and picks up a pair of spectacles from the table. He hands them to Liatt who puts them on, she then turns and shows them to the other ladies. M/S of Liatt as she poses in the gold horn-rimmed glasses with leaf motif. The narrator says the idea is to use spectacles as a fashion accessory in the same way as jewelry. Ronald takes the spectacles from Liatt and holds them up to her brocade bouffant dress in orange and gold to show they match the color. Liatt walks away and the next model, Susan, comes up to the table, she is wearing a black velvet outfit. He gives her a pair of spectacles which she puts on and turns to the ladies watching. Jean puts the spectacles on and twirls around to stand in front of a green curtain. M/S of Jean in the gold bubble spectacles. She takes them off and smiles. The narrator says that choosing the right pair of spectacles to match the occasion is so important that it is being included in the syllabus at The Lucie Clayton Mannequin School.
