| Description: | "The milk is pasteurised and filtered before being bottled". C/U shots of the machinery used in the pasteurising process. Milk bottles being filled by machine. Two men putting bottles into the machine for lining up. Full bottles are taken off the machine and placed into crates. Men carry crates and load up a small motorised milk float with the following painted on the side: "The best milk always - Hornby & Clarke - the name that signifies service". A milkman steers the float and walks along the road with the float behind him. (It is not a sit-in milk float but it seems to have some kind of motor). The milkman unloads crates of milk outside a school. Interior school classroom where children share out the milk, prise the lids off, put straws in the bottles and drink the milk (nice shots). End title reads: "The End - a Pathe BIF film". | |
