Hyde Park, London LS pan on area of Hyde Park where the Pavillion is to be built- -line of horses with carts to cart away dirt, stacked lumber on ground etc. MLS laborers with pickaxes and shovels excavating, loading dirt into the horse carts. "Dinner!" MS the workers eat their lunches outdoors sitting by a fire; there is a bucket on top of the fire. MS workers sitting round this cooking fire; they are cooking something in a shovel on top of the bucket on the fire. (pretty clever!) (This Pavilion for swimming and sun-bathing was built for the Sunlight League, with the help of the Commissioner of Works Lord Lansbury, so that ordinary people who at the time had few public places to relax, could enjoy the pleasures of the Serpentine.) | |
