| Description: | Mrs. Elliot launches a new motor vessel. Greenwich, London. Brief shots of men greasing a slipway rail prior to the launch of a new motor vessel called 'Mount'. Mrs W J Elliot helps a man to pour beer into a large silver cup; her hat is blown off by the wind and she puts it back on. Bottles of beer are handed out to the ship workers. Mrs Elliot and the man beside her drink from the enormous beer cup. She then raises the bottle to launch the ship and her hat blows off again. The ship moves slowly down the slipway. We hear voices making comments as the ship reaches the water. The ship will join the cargo service between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. | |
