| Description: | MUSEUM OF ENGLISH RURAL LIFE Reading, Berkshire LS Inside of the museum with Bert Turner acting as a guide. He is accompanied by two visitors. CU Bert Turner with the visitors. MS Thatching impliments. CU Same camera pans up to show others. LS Margaret Fuller sitting in a chair by the side of a 19th century open hearth fireplace a visitor comes into the picture. CU Margaret Fuller she lowers her book pushes her glasses down onto the end of her nose and then puts them back on again. CU Pots round the fireplace. LS Margaret sitting beside the fireplace. MS John Higgs showing a visitor one of the relics of the museum. He puts it down and they turn and walk away. Camera pans round and John takes off of the wall a seedlip and demonstrates how it is used. CU Hands demonstrating. MS Girl visitor looks towards the wall camera pans to show farm implement which looks like a seed drill it has one large spinning-wheel type wheel and a sort of foot which could be the shute for the seeds. MS Horse's collar and various tools used in harness making. MS John Ansee working in the museum forge. MS Bellows which are pumping air into the forge fire. MS Ansee standing by the forge fire. He takes red hot iron from the fire. MS As he walks into picture and begins to hammer iron on the anvil. He is working on routine renovation work. CU Same. MS Same. He walks away from the anvil and the camera pans as he puts the metal into the water. LS With a West Country farm waggon standing in the foreground the museum is in the background. A man is pushing along one of the wheels of the waggon. MS Man reaches the wagon and with the assistance of another man they place the wheel on the axle. CU Man's hand securing the wheel onto the axle. MS Ard lying on the ground. Allan Aberg pick it up and carries it towards the cart horse standing in the background. MS As he reaches the cart horse and places the ard on the ground. Attaches the ard to the chain traces. MS Taken at a low angle as Aberg picks up the ard and the cart horse moves off pulling the ard with Aberg guiding it. He goes out of picture. CU Ard ploughing the ground. MS Taken from behind as they go away from camera. LS Tractor which is called the Titan. Aberg walks round and starts to swing the handle of it. CU Same camera pans round to show the tractor. | |
