L/S of the stairs with cadets in flashy uniforms running down the stairs. M/S of the cadets being instructed how to use a sextant by a middle aged bold man in civilian suit (Commander Mornemant). He attends the cadets one by one explaining the procedure. M/s of one of the young cadets trying to use the sextant. M/S of the group of cadets learning how to use a compass. A man in uniform (Lt. Cdr. Hoyle) explains how to use it and one of the cadets tries it practically. M/S of the flag on a mast. Camera tilts down to show much younger boys signalling with flags. M/S of the three boys signalling. Low angle M/S of one of the boys as signalling with the flag behind him - great propaganda shot. L/S of the boys signalling.
