| Description: | "NEW ZEPPELIN FOR GERMANY - Work proceeds on L.Z. 129 at Friedrichshafen." Friedrichshafen, Germany. Various shots of the men working on the construction of the giant rigid airship L.Z. 129. It would later become famous under the name Hindenburg. Excellent shots of the metal framework, normally aluminum, before it is covered. Almost the entire length of the airship's frame has been completed, and the Pathe cameraman seems to have used the dirigible’s hanger to great advantage. There are upward tracking shots, high angle shots, longer shots, closer shots. Very good work. Also seen are the workers climbing about the frame, using rope ladders to get from point to point. This airship was later named Hindenburg. | |
