Known also as la fête des vielles filles (old maids), for ladies over 25 and still unmarried. Ladies dressed in outlandish costumes, one with a hat that has little mechanized Three Little Pigs on a wolf-like hat, and another's hat features five plastic baby dolls. There is a dancing line of can-can dancers, and Professor Piccard surrounded by women. Long version contains more footage of the Ball and the Fancy Dress Competition. | |
