| Description: | Use this one or Catalog # 354746. Also same as Catalog # 514268. News in Brief: Rolls for the Kiddies. Bakers' dozens of delicious rolls for Dutch youngsters highlight the Lenten season with a traditional symbolic feast for thousands of kids. Unusual tradition. Bakers pour baskets full of baked goods into a cart, which is pulled by a horse. Then people stand high above a large crowd of (primarily) children and throw the rolls to them. Lots of them fall to the ground, and the kids are scrambling for them. This is supposed to symbolize Jesus' feeding of the multitudes with loaves and fishes, but the children don't look too happy, more worried about getting a roll. Three small children sit quietly eating their rolls; this must be after the ruckus was over. A man feeds a roll to a horse. | |
