Nichols edges out both Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus who tie for second. His play in the PGA sets a new record for that tournament. OHS - People jammed in near the golfing action packed in like sardines. MS - Nicklaus, takes a swing and he nails the golf ball. MOHS - Bobby Nichols walking towards the ball with his caddy. Arnold Palmer putts his golf ball into the hole assuring him of a second place spot. The crowd give Arnold a hand of applause and he picks up his golf ball and throws it into the crowd. CUS - Jack Nicklaus MS - Jack putting his golf ball into the hole and like Arnold he picks up his ball and throws it into the crowd of fans. MS - The crowd runs up to the sport spectators rope to watch Bobby Nichols putt his golf ball 15 feet, and he misses the hole, he puts his ball again and sinks it and walks away with first place.
