| Description: | Brief Hollywood-style montage of times square lights ( marquee for "Hell's Angels" visible) that dissolves into a night club floorshow of chorines. MS of dancing chorus girls in flimsy negligee-type costumes doing lots of high kicks. Cheesecake low angle CU of girls' kicking legs. WS Latin performance troupe - Flamenco dancers and musicians. c. 1940; A pair of Edited dance sequence as if for a soundie. Flamenco dancers rushes to center stage, takes position and performs traditional flamenco dance, with castanettes, fan, and flirtatious moves. Some good CUs. ersatz Xavier Cugat band playing in b/g. As the couple finishes and whisks themselves offstage, another woman on the floor looks with jealous disgust as they pass, oblivious to her. Jealous love? Brief clip from edited dance sequence with Astaire&Rodgers-type couple in flowing gown & tails. C.early 30's. They perform ballroom dance routine (not very well) in front of black orchestra. Film is cut up quite a bit. Ends with rather silly high kick. | |
