| Description: | Underwater. What appears to be a large red chunk of stone slowly moving across the sea floor, but it is actually a decorator crab (nocturnal animal, night animal) w/ a red sponge on its back. The legs of the crab are visible. The sponge is camouflage for the crab. Crab has flipped itself over, but now we can see the head. Crab walks to the edge of a flat coral, goes over the edge, but continues to hang on upside-down. What a cool & unusual animal (crustacean, arthropod). | |
