| Description: | ON PREVIEW CASSETTE # 991537F Opens with a tight LS of Mr. Landlord, a silent middle aged man whose mannerisms and countenance bears more than a passing resemblance to Buster Keaton (though certainly not the man himself, mind you), raking leaves in a white lighting studio; the BG is a crudely drawn building with an "Apartment For Rent" sign. The narrator talks to the man on behalf of Riley Management, an apartment leasing company. Other shots: .....still animations of an agent showing an apartment to a young couple .....ECU of a want ad in a newspaper; a hand circles an item with a red pen .....MS of Mr. Landlord raking leaves in front of his building when suddenly the leaves turn into cash; he collects it in a large basket .....it's magic time! CU of a man's hand; with a flick of the wrist he produces money which promptly combusts; cut to the aforementioned basket full of money which also combusts into a puff of smoke .....CU of a woman's gold lame'ed behind (ne butt) wiggling; zoom out to see her prancing in front of Mr. Landlord's place; she stops at the sign and points to it; CU of her signing papers; MS of said red bombshell shrugging and walking off-screen with Mr. Landlord and his libido in tow .....CU of several Chicagoland newspapers, some still in print but most not, being stacked upon each other .....MS's of rental employees in a Riley office: man on adding machine, woman on phone, woman on typewriter, etc. .....CU of an apartment listing, cut to MS of prospective clients inspecting it .....MS of female rental agent in her office; packs up her hefty folder, zips it up and places an enormous ring of keys on top of it .....CU of man signing a lease agreement .....MS of a middle aged man in a business suit writing in a notebook at his desk in a rental office .....MS of female rental agent talking on the phone in a rental office .....MS of middle aged man in business suit dialing on phone in rental office .....CU of lease agreement, money and keys being exchanged between two parties | |
