MS of group of young people busy at work on excavations CU of group of people working. CU of a wall a young man enters pic and kneels down by wall and fixes a small label to it. CU as he fixes the label. MS as he finishes the label and gets up and walks out to pic. CU of label on wall. MS of a young boy digging with a pick axe he lays it down and picks up a shovel and continues digging he picks up a shovel full of dirt and he puts into barrow which just above and behind him the boy with barrow begins to wheel it away. MS of two girls kneeling on g. inside an excavation labels attached to wall can be seen they appear to be measuring depth. A young man enters pic and kneels down beside and talks to them CU of the two girls looking at the notes which the young man is holding in his hand. CU of young man pointing out something to the girls. CU of plan as the young man points a feature. MS of two boys excavating camera pans very slowly off of boy to show previous excavations. LS of site in fg. man is digging he climbs out of hole and begins to push wheelbarrow away. MS of an excavation the camera pans very slowly L along and we see two girls working on the wall. CU of the girls the girls on L is taking notes and the other is brushing a portion of wall CU of the girl taking notes. CU of girl brushing wall on which is some sort of carving (Norman) MS of a boy as he walks out of excavation towards what appears to be a wall MS From above as he leans over down into well and feels a -bout in inside of wall. CU of boy bending over well. MS from above as boy gets up from well and walks away. MS of the ground the feet of boys seen in previous shot come into pic. and he walks round and kneels and begins to poke around ground oven. CU of boy poking around with trowel. He puts piece of pottery down and picks up another piece which is like a bottle and they examine it together he puts bottle down onto table.
