He stands up and introduces one of his characters, Joe Ramsbottom, helping the public "to stop that tickling cough." He bows and the scene fades to show men in cloth caps sat in the audience and Norman dressed in coat and cloth cap with a very small, false moustache. He speaks in a wheezing, northern accent and takes out a small box of pills, his sales pitch is interrupted by his strange high pitched cough. He says the pills are guaranteed to cure any 'itis'.
