| Description: | NOVELTIES - NEW YEAR SAVING DEVICE Various New Gadgets, Handy new inventions of 1927. Starts w/ onion or garlic slicer. Woman puts small onion or whole bulb of garlic on a small dish w/ a glass tube that fits over it and a plonger device at the top.She pushes down and inside the cylinder a cutter is lowered which cuts the onion into sections (or the garlic into individual cloves). She takes out the pieces & puts them on a plate. Next, a pram-screen to protect baby from "those sudden showers". MCU baby (1-yr-old) sitting in baby buggy. Mother pulls down a canvas cover w/ a plastic window over the front of the buggy. MCU baby looking through the window. LS Mummy pushing the huge pram down the street. MS Mum unhooks the pram screen and it rolls back up like a window shade. Baby watches mum as she folds down the back of the pram. Pen with "stamp magazine".
