CU Two bearded rustics yelling him on. MS Nurdler climbing under obstacle and running to beer barrel which he pushes over and rolls. C.S. Three watchers including mini-smock girl panning down her smock. MS Nurdler throwing himself under obstacle. LS Mini-smock girl being sent off at starting post and running towards us holding her hair into the nurdling tent with sign `Keep Clear Nurdling is Dangerous.' Gate is shut behind her by gate attendant who goes in with her we pan to sign. C.S. Three spectators rustics one giving the bent finger `Up Yours' sign. C.S. Nurdler in whitewash bucket being sent off by top hatted man jumps and runs off. MS Nurdler crawling under obstacle and running out of picture R. C.S. Bucket of whitewash which man jumps in and out again. C.S. Nurdler rolling barrel he falls down. MS Man coming towards nurdling tent he is dragged inside and a fight ensues. C.S. Two heads bobbing up and down behind nurdling door. C.S. Two pairs of feet jumping up and down at base of the nurdling door. MS Man on top of nurdling tent yelling instructions and waving a bell. CU `Nurdling is Dangerous' sign panning to pole waving bra above tent. Nurdling was apparently one of Michael Bentine's Square Games - possibly from his TV show 'It's A Square World'? Commentator says "All you need is a decent throstle, several gules and a knack of knowing a good drat when you see one". | |
