The Choreography is done by the American George Balanchine. The first scene is the Cheristmas eve party where godfather Drosselmeyer gives Clara the Nutcracker and Fritz tries to steal it away. Nice shots of the child performers. Then cut to the dance of the snowflakes. Nice CU of the toes of the corps de ballet as they perform. Cut to the Mirliton Dance, a giant gingerbread house, known as Mother Ginger, opens her skirt and eight little gingerbread children come dancing out circling around her. The final scene where everyone comes together on the court and bids Clara and the Nutcracker Prince farewell. | |
