| Description: | OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM Visiting Nurses & Spafford Children's Center in Jerusalem. Nurse Jaleelah, an elderly Arab lady who works at the Spafford Children's Center, visits families in a neighborhood of the Old City of Jerusalem. ( part of the idea of the story is that Jaleelah is asking everyone if they remember a Janet Adams who seems to have been a Red Cross worker who helped the families in this area. Apparently Adams has now left but is going to see this film.) (social services, volunteers, Israel, Jerusalem, Arabs, children, nurses, public health) GV entrance and CU sign over door of the Spafford Childrens Center in the Old City of Jerusalem. Nurse Jaleelah, Arab woman comes out the door. MS Nurse Jaleelah walks away from camera and down some stone steps; some kids playing at the bottom. MS she comes to her first stop on her rounds and knocks on a beat-up looking door. Door is opened and mother and several small children stand in doorway, chat with Jaleelah. MCU of group; mother waves and says "Hello, Janet!"; the kids laugh, all wave at camera as kids go into a fit of giggles. MCU boys playing marbles in a narrow alley between old stone walls. Another lady gets the kids to move out of the way of the camera; tracking shot walking down alley to where Jaleelah stands at door as it is opened. CU decoration above doorway, picture of birds, etc. with Arab writing. CUs Jaleelah and the mother have a conversation in Arabic. CU Mrs Freda Ward, the administrator of the Spafford Center, addresses the camera, speaking to Janet Adams. | |
