The Captain says that he and his crew did all they could to help the survivors. Injured man confirms it. ["Olympic," the largest ship afloat from her 1910 launch until the launch of the Titanic from the same yard, was at the time of the accident serving in the Cunard White Star Line (Cunard and White Star having merged in 1933). In the accident, seven of nine crew aboard the lightship were killed, and Cunard White Star held responsible for accident. They were fined $500,000.] | |
