| Description: | ON THE BUS-T - IN PARIS French trainee bus drivers are put through several tests before qualifying. Paris, France. Various shots of traffic on busy Paris streets and people crossing roads. We then see several shots of Parisian bus drivers being tested for fitness levels in a clinic - having their height measured, their blood pressure taken, breathing into a tube, having an x-ray. One man is watched carefully as he handles a steering wheel, and takes perception and dazzle tests. Another 'drives' a dual-controlled fixed chassis, mounted on drums so the wheels turn round. There is a screen before him, showing a film shot from a bus driver's cab as several distractions and obstructions come up in front of him. A man is taught how to handle the bus on a grease patch.
