Description:05:00:33:- MS interview with Richard Smith, engineer and section manager with Otis Elevator Company. Interview is conducted inside the Otis Elevator factory on a typical business day so it's kind of noisy, the information slightly garbled. While wearing safety glasses they discuss the company's history, how elevators are constructed, and why there are "Close Door" buttons on elevators.

05:07:07:- MS's inside the factory as an employee works on an elevator control panel. Zoom in to CU's of the buttons, including the "Close Door". Zoom out to MS of Mike Lukas (TV host and comedian) talking to the man working on the piece; he talks about the electro-static sensor (zoom in to CU's of the sensors and other relative gears, then zoom out to resume former shot).

05:12:01:- MS of Mike hamming it up in front of a door which reads, "Positively No Admittance". Mike tells the camera he's going to go in because he "knows people" there, then goes off about having to take the stairs to get to the bathroom. He then says that the room is like a nursery at a hospital (there is a window looking into the room as employees work inside); does a bit like he's pointing to a baby inside, gushing at the sight. He moves from the door, pretends he's boarding an elevator, then remarks how clean the factory is, going so far as to do the finger test on the floor.

05:14:26:- MS's and CU's of Mike putting on a blue labcoat and protective booties in a sectorized room of the plant. The camera crew shoots through wide glass windows as they aren't allowed in the static-free room. Mike grounds his hands and body on a grounding bar, then enters the static-free work area where employees perform specialized computer work on elevator control panels. Mike wears a lavalier mic but the levels are terrible and whatever the employees say doesn't monitor at all. Cut to funny MS of Mike, still inside the static-free room, banging on the door where the "Positively No Admittance" sign is as if he's a caged animal; he then makes fun of the people not in the room, pointing and laughing. Cut to MS of Mike talking to Jerry, an electronics tester with Otis Elevator (better sound levels but still muffled).

05:22:55:- tight LS of the factory as the camera travels down an aisle. Cut to MS of Mike and Richard standing in a main part of the factory. Richard shows Mike a testing area, explains what happens there.

05:26:03:- CU of still of the company's founder, Charles Rollin Otis. Pan left to still of Elisha Graves Otis, another company patriarch. Cut to CU still of Norton Prentiss Otis, one of the former company presidents. Cut to stills and illustrations of early Otis elevators and factories.
