| Description: | MISSING 1/6/2006 OUR FRIEND - THE HORSE Documentary tracing the work performed by the R.S.P.C.A. looking after horses. Good shots of traffic in London. Passing cars and taxis. Cart horses seen pulling heavy loads through streets. Blacksmith shoes heavy horse. Mounted policemen seen dismounting and directing traffic. Also finding unconscious man in park. Shots of dray horses, rag and bone man's horse and cart and other horse drawn carts. Horses seen ploughing, reaping, hauling logs and barges along canal. R.S.P.C.A. inspector halts a pony and trap used by a dairy, to inspect it. He does the same to a horse hauling a cart of bricks, spending time checking the harness etc. Heavy horse groomed in farmyard. Horse ambulance called to motor accident where R.S.P.C.A. inspector is treating a horse for minor wounds. Horse is loaded in to ambulance and taken to Liverpool Horse's Rest Home. Horses seen at rest home. | |
