| Description: | Paperweights. Various shots of artisan making milliaflore paperweights at the Whitefriars Glassworks. London. CUs of the man (Frank Hill) picking up the tiny glass pieces with tweezers and putting them tightly together into circular iron molds. Hill's assistant at furnace; he reaches in with long stick and takes out a blob of glowing molten glass. MS assistant / apprentice hands the pole with the glass on it to Hill. CU the molten glass being dropped onto the glass pieces in the iron mold . Hill helped by assistant rolls the pole across 2 bars while using hand tool to shape the end of the paperweight CU he takes the top off the mold to reveal the little tubes of glass now set into the molten glass. CU he does some more rolling and shaping to make the paperweight rounded . He sticks pole into furnace again. CU glass shape being pulled out of furnace . Seems to suddenly cut to same CU shot of another blob of molten glass. Shots of Hill shaping a glass globe to go over top of the milliaflore pieces, then continuing to roll it and shape it. CU the paperweight is put onto table. Even closer shot with the finished milliaflore paperweight in center of screen. MS several different paperweights displayed on some shiny red fabric.
