| Description: | ON PREVIEW CASSETTE 213505 This film is actually two films on one reel but both are about the surgalift, a unique industrial gurney that virtually eliminates the need of lifting the patient from table to table (see WPA 1397 for more information and a duplicate of the second feature on this reel). The first feature is the first 430' while the second,well, goes to the end of the reel. The following are a few shots within.... 0' to 200'.......... a B&W title reads, "The Four Disorderlies in Disorderly Conduct". This is a mock silent comedy replete w/ jumpy B&W photgraphy, melodramatic acting, and a hyper piano soundtrack. A man tends the grounds of a home when an elderly woman in a nearby chair calls him over. He steps on a rake that nails him in the face and falls to the ground. The woman calls for help which arrives in the form of the 4 disorderlies, each as bumbling and inept as the next one. They rush over, pick him up, drop him, repeat, finally get him into a wheelbarrow that keeps tilting over. Somehow they manage to get him to the hospital, in the process injuring themselves enough to also be admitted.... the film ends and switches to color. An older gentleman turns a projector of and starts talking to camera about patient handling and, of course, Surgalift... 200' to 300'....... several pie charts relating hospital accidents and other statistics 300' to 430'....... Surgalift demonstration montage; several different hospital areas (X-Ray, admitting, surgery, etc). From 430' until the end is "Handle With Care".
