Two ex-Wrens, sisters Doris and Olive Jukes, find a patch nearby and start to sketch cartoon figures on the pavement. A crowd of people gather round to watch. Commentator tells us the girls were working together on diagram films in the Naval Film Unit and decided that in Civvy Street they would launch out as rivals to Walt Disney. We see them working on drawings of their cartoon pup, Pogo. A man puts some coins in the hat they have put out. The main object seems to be to attract the attention of someone who can help them on their way. When they have finished, the girls pack up their stuff and walk off, stopping away from the crowd to share out the money from the hat. | |
