| Description: | PEEPS THROUGH THE WINDOW OF THE WORLD (NO. 33) Performing circus elephants. In Austria we see several shots of elephants climbing on small pots in a circus ring and being fed titbits by their trainer. A large telephone rings and one of the elephants picks it up with its trunk. We hear an odd squeaky sound - not sure if it is meant to be coming out of the phone or the elephants mouth. An elephant enters the ring on its hind legs, wearing a bowler hat, dinner jacket, black tie and shirt and carrying a cane in its trunk. I think he is meant to be impersonating Charlie Chaplin. | |
