In the South of France we see crowds gathering to watch canoe stunter Bertrand jump from the top of a sluice wall to the waters foaming through the sluice gates 30 feet below. Bertrand comes walking along, carrying his canoe on his head. He climbs over the top of the wall and jumps into the water with the canoe. For a moment we cannot see him, but he soon resurfaces among the rapid water, gets into his canoe and paddles along. (Wow!) | |
