| Description: | PEEPS THROUGH THE WINDOW OF THE WORLD (NO. 70) a 'ship' built into a Gravesend house. At Gravesend in Kent we see various shots of men in naval uniform on a 'ship' that is actually built into the top of a house overlooking a harbor. A man with an eye patch seems to be the owner and captain, known as Long John Silver. He is a London businessman from Monday to Friday but on weekends he goes on board his 'ship' and forgets that land and London exists (sounds like a good idea). Shots in the 'ship' show several figureheads, model ships and nautical gear, plus fish swimming around in a porthole tank. Long John Silver's friends look about and are treated to a tot of rum. | |
