| Description: | On Preview Cassette #97574 Ralph Perk, Mayor of Cleveland, meets with a group of people to witness the demolition of a brick building. Segment begins with Perk walking with the group at demolition site. The people seem to be enjoying themselves. Perk walks with his arm around a man's shoulder. They walk past a huge pile of rubble. Distant shot of small group gathered at demo site. A large crane is in the background taking a chunk out of building. A red truck is on site to collect the debris. Bizarre shot of the mayor standing in the middle of brick rubble. There is so much debris that it looks like a Mars landscape. Then the mayor waves his arms as if saying "come join me here on this pile of garbage". Two women climb into the shot. Good shot of bulldozer shoveling rubble. CU of Mayor Perk with microphone in front of him. He speaks of a wall collapsing and almost falling on him and his entourage. Perk claims that everyone was alright, but his driver was hit with a brick. Great CU of a crane taking a huge chunk from brick wall. Crane from a distance doing the same thing. | |
