| Description: | PHANTOM LEAVES Craft demonstration - how to make skeleton leaves. United Kingdom MCU woman pulls leaf off a branch she's holding in front of her. "Just soak the leaves in water for five or six weeks." CU tilt down woman at table pulling leaves off branch and dropping them into a bowl of water. CU now she is transfering leaves from one bowl to another. CU she holds soaked leaf in hand carefully smoothing it out. CU she lays leaf on plate with a few others and starts rubbing off the green part of it to leave only the "skeleton". Dissolve fade to "later" - she picks up leaf skeleton. "After the membrane is clear - it may be soaked in chloride of lime for a couple of days - this will whiten it - " CU she lays 3 leaf membranes on folder or construction paper, then folds half of it over them. Dissolve to CU several leaves spread out against dark BG. MCU woman paints glue on leaves sticks them to a rectangle to make a picture out of them. SCU leaf skeleton; can see all the veins very clearly. MS tilt down: some of these "phantom leaves" arranged under a glass top on a bureau. | |
