Well what sort of a weekend have you had with the boys?' Mr. Pickles: 'We're nearly worn out I think'. Interviewer: 'They are? Mr. Pickles: 'No, but we are'. Interviewer: 'You are?' Mr. Pickles: 'No, we are. They're twelve, well 11 and 12, so you can imagine taking two lads around on their first visit to London'. Interviewer: 'Yes.' Mr. Pickles: 'Never a minute still and, of course, wanted to get up at 5 o'clock this morning'. Interviewer: '5 o'clock? Disgusting. And have you enjoyed yourselves. What have you done?' Boy: 'Visited the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace. We've been to the circus and zoo'. Interviewer: SCU. 'What have you enjoyed most?' Boy: 'I don't know'. Pickles: 'That's a very difficult question. You see, they'll never quite know until about a fortnight's time when everything's sunk in. At the moment everything's wonderful.' | |
